AFLoNext at ECCOMAS Congress 2016

The European Congress on
Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering is taking place this
year on 5-10 June in Crete, Greece.
Jochen Wild (DLR), the leader of WP2 “Active Flow Control on Airframe”
(see “Project structure” in “Overview”), is organizing a Special Technology
Session STS09. The aim of the session is to highlight recent research on
high-lift system aerodynamics, focusing on methods and application of CFD for
the evaluation and design of the aerodynamics of high-lift system components.
The session includes contributions from various European and national projects
dealing with high-lift system aerodynamics. Special attention will be given to research projects dealing with active flow separation and
circulation control. Several AFLoNext partners (Airbus Defence and Space, CIRA, DLR, VZLU) will give presentations on latest results
achieved within the project.
