The AFLoNext project held its first specialised Workshop on Hybrid Laminar Flow and Active Flow control, noise and load control, on September 10, 2015. This took place in the TUDelft premises, in conjonction with CEAS 2015.
The primiry aim of this one-day event was to offer its participants a forum, encouranging open exchange of information with fellow members and present the latest advancements of each of the 6 project technology streams. 

Thus, the event proved to be a unique opportunity for the participants to obtain an overview of the recent achievements on the research scene, with 18 presentations from participating organisations. Furthermore, the workshop attendees had the opportunity to engage into fruitful discussions and networking with more than 50 representatives of academia, research community and industry involved in AFLoNext. Finally, the 2 key-note presentations from distinguished individuals gave a clear insight on the future industrial trends and European priorities with respect to the medium and long-term goals, as set by the aviation stakeholders, positioning the project on the relative technology trajectory and showing the connection with Clean Sky 2. About 100 participants had registered to the event.
